Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro Have Been Launched on the Indian Market

Xiaomi’s new smartphones, Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro, have just been launched during the recent press conference that took place in New Delhi. The Chinese company did not wait long to unveil its new lineup, even though it launched Redmi Note 6 Pro just a few months ago. Redmi Note 7 is the first device to be released since Xiaomi decided to create a new Redmi sub-brand, and its goal is to strengthen Xiaomi’s number one position on the Indian market, which it has been occupying for more than a year now.

Camera

It has been known for a while that Redmi Note 7 Pro will be upgraded with the 48MP back camera, a feature that will definitely attract many new customers. When it comes to the Redmi Note 7, it has a 12MP rear camera with a 2MP depth sensor and a 13MP front camera. It is also worth mentioning that Xiaomi provided users with some AI features, such as AI Portrait 2.0 and scene detection.

Design

With Redmi Note 7, Xiaomi finally introduces a new design. Its updated look combines the widely popular glass sandwich design with some outstanding gradient colors, which make this smartphone quite unique. Other important features design-wise are: Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both rear and front side of the device and the 2.5D curved glass.

Redmi Note 7 and its specs

Considering the fact that Redmi Note 7 is a mid-range smartphone, it has quite a powerful chipset – Snapdragon 660. There are two variants available for users: 3GB of RAM combined with 32GB of storage and 4GB of RAM combined with 64GB of storage. Xiaomi’s new device is equipped with a 4,000mAh battery, an IR blaster, USB-C connectivity and a headphone jack.

When it comes to the software, Redmi Note 7 runs MIUI 10, which is based on Android Pie.

How to get the Redmi Note 7

Customers will be able to purchase Redmi Note 7 from 12 PM on March 6 through the following stores: Mi Home, Mi.com and Flipkart. Xiaomi has set the price of the 3GB + 32GB variant at 9,999 rupees (around $140), while the 4GB + 64GB will cost 11,999 rupees (some $169).
