According to recent information, several smartphones from the Indian market have to wait until next year for receiving Android 9.0 Pie. One of these devices is the Realme 2 Pro, an amazing handset with awesome specs. Although it boasts with slow-motion video and other high-end improvements, the handset’s users won’t get to see how the latest version of Android works on their smartphones.
This is not surprising, if we consider that the Realme 2 is waiting to receive the most recent Android update available for the Indian market, ColorOS 5.2. Since this version is already out and has been introduced to other smartphones from the same niche, Realme users should expect to see it on their handsets later this month.
Technology is evolving in a heartbeat and new operating systems are necessary to support the changes
There’s no doubt that the Realme 2 Pro will be updated to Android 9.0 Pie and we know that this will happen in 2019. This information was confirmed by a Twitter post shared by Realme India’s support team. The big question remains when this is actually going to happen, because users are getting really anxious.
On the other hand, Madhav Seth, Realme’s CEO, suggests that the new Android version might come later in the year, because the company is preparing some spectacular changes for the handset which is currently waiting for a new operating system.
One of the most significant improvements is the slow-motion video recording. Other than that, the Realme 2 Pro comes with other top class specs, like Snapdragon 660 CPU, full HD display, a 3,500mAh battery and more.
Until we can see what Android 9.0 Pie has to offer on Realme 2 Pro, we can have a look at other devices that already received the update: Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL, Moto One Power, Xiaomi Mi A2 and others.
