Samsung Might Replace the Notch with an Infinity-O display on Galaxy S10

Although the next Galaxy S10 is not going to be announced by Samsung anytime soon, this does not stop the rumors from appearing on the internet. A recent report by the reliable leaker @evleaks gives us some details about the next flagship smartphone of the South Korean company.

Galaxy S10 might feature the Infinity-O display

According to the report, the display of Galaxy S10 will have a “punch hole”, which might refer to one of the proposed design solutions that Samsung presented last week. The Infinity-O is the most likely candidate, as it does not have a notch, but instead it features a “O” cutout on the left side of the display. Other prototypes that include a drop down notch do not really match the “punch hole” description.

Other features that we might see on Galaxy S10

Another report, this time compiled by Blass, lists some of the features that Samsung may introduce on its next gen flagship phone. If the leaker is right, Galaxy S10 will have three rear cameras with three types of lenses (standard, wide and telephoto), an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader and Android Pie that will run behind a new One UI developed by Samsung.

It is also important to note that another reliable leaker, @Universeice, more or less confirmed these rumors by replying to the post with a short “Yes”.

These are surely some exciting news and we are sure that the closer we get to the launch of Galaxy S10, more of them will be reported by the leakers. One thing that some users might be worried about is the new display design with a circle cut out on the side of the screen, as it will be extremely hard to fit it into a notification area. We are very curious to see how this issue will be handled by Samsung, but for that we will still have to wait for quite some time.
