PS5 to Come with a Loading Time of Less Than a Second

There is another game developer that has got its success for the upcoming next-gen gaming console from Sony and Microsoft. Both of them come with some specs that are very important for the future of console gaming.

Both of them are working hard on their next-gen features for gamers all around the world. We are talking about PlayStation 5 and Xbox Project Scarlett. Both of these consoles are expected to come with great new features and specs, which will help gamers get the best experience out there.

One of these specs is SSD. Crytek, the game developer, which is known for the Cry Engine used in Far Cry and Crysis, talked about the soon-to-hit-the-market consoles and how they use the high-speed storage option.

If the quality of the visuals will continue to increase as it did up until now, they are expecting the next generation of consoles to be the real game-changer, especially if we get the new fast storage.

The company has pointed out that SSD will be a fascinating part of gaming. This is true, because it removes one of the most frustrating things that players always have to deal with (remember when you started playing the original PlayStation?). This is a massive deal for the development of games.

As you probably already know, it will crash the loading time, and it will open new doors when it comes to designing a game when it comes to streaming. “That’s also a front on which game engines will need to evolve quite drastically, but it’s definitely exciting.”, said Crytek.

No more loading times

Sony has shown a comparison video between the PS4 Pro and the PS5. The PS4 Pro was able to load the game in about 8 seconds. PS5, however, did it in less than a second.
