Android Q Beta 4 Bugs and Glitches Fixed, And Its Rollout Restarts

Google has just re-reissued Android Q Beta 4 after fixing a glitch that made some Google Pixel phones to ‘bootloop.’ What that means is that the devices were trapped in a continual reset state. The issue occurred after some Pixel owners who tried to install the new beta version over-the-air (OTA).

Google wrote on their official Android Developers page that all devices enrolled in the Android Q Beta 4 program will now get the brand new Beta 4 upgrade that comes without the glitches and bugs that caused Google Pixel phones to ‘bootloop.’

“We’re aware of an issue with Android Q Beta 4 related to installing updates. We’ve temporarily paused Beta 4 OTA updates to all Pixel devices as we investigate the matter. We apologize for any inconvenience and will provide an update once the issue is resolved.”

This affair is an excellent reminder to never-ever install a beta version of software on any hardware that you use as your primary device. Regardless of how appealing the great features might be, you should always and only install a beta version on a device you keep for this kind of ventures.

Having said that, besides this issue, Google’s Android updates are usually stable and dependable. With Android Nougat, the tech giant has incorporated a new ‘A/B (Seamless) System Updates’ technique which enables a smartphone to return to a previous version of Android when facing issues with an update. However, it is not clear why the retreat didn’t identify the problem this time.

Android Q Beta 4 version is a quite insignificant update in the grand plan of Android Q. As well as adjusting the software’s brand new dark mode theme, a widely loved and enjoyed feature, the update comes with a settings menu design that throws in some hints at a native facial recognition soon to probably appear to Android.
