OnePlus 7 Will Lack A Fan-Favorite Feature

During the Mobile World Congress, last week OnePlus decided to keep their latest smartphone hiding inside a box because the company was too busy bragging about its 5G endeavors on key panels. However, its partners were allowed to use in their demonstrations the OnePlus 7 handsets. Many fans were hoping that some key features will be added in the hardware of the OnePlus smartphones this year, but it was confirmed that would not happen.

If you are one of the many people that hope to get wireless charging from OnePlus 7 this year, you will suffer a disappointment. Pete Lau from OnePlus confirmed that wired charging that works more efficiently is the goal the company wants to achieve instead.

OnePlus 7 will lack quick charging, a fan-favorite feature

Many people might have a bias towards devices with wireless charging capabilities. Some people are just bored of plugging in their phone so that they would charge. It is way easier only to place your phone on a charging pad, right? However, many phone manufacturing companies are looking more deeply into introducing this opportunity for their fans. For example, Apple uses the Qi standard for wireless charging in their iPhone 8 and iPhone X handsets.

If you are the type of person that is trapped in their cubicle from 9 to 5, you might not enjoy the idea of mixing your phone charger’s wire with other cables near your desk. With that being said, it might be a reason why wireless charging is what would make your life or office experience easier becoming one of the best charging options. Aside from that if you do not have enough time to wait for your phone to charge, you might be looking for a possibility to grow that battery percent a little and fast. Well, wireless charging is the best way to accomplish this as well. Unfortunately, OnePlus 7 won’t feature quick charge, a fan-favorite feature.
