Xiaomi’s fans in India may soon have a chance to buy its recent smartphone, Redmi Note 7 Pro, as the company is set to launch this popular device in the South Asian country. This follows a recent statement by Xiaomi’s President, Lu Weibing, who announced that Redmi Note 7 Pro will become available in China sometime next week, without providing the exact date. Redmi Note 7, the basic version of the phone, will launch in China on February 28.
The key features of Redmi Note 7 Pro
Amongst all features of the upcoming Redmi Note Pro 7, the one that is expected to attract most of the attention is the camera. Xiaomi decided to use Sony’s 48MP IMX 586 camera lens, which will surely provide all users with a great level of performance. When it comes to its screen, the smartphone has a 6.43-inch Full HD display. Design-wise, however, this device is expected to be close to its basic version. Compared to Redmi Note 7, which uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 chipset, the Pro version will be powered by Snapdragon 675 SoC. The upcoming smartphone is expected to have 6GB of RAM and an internal storage of 128GB.
Redmi Note 7 and its specifications
Redmi Note 7 is going to be equipped with a 6.3-inch full HD+ LTPS display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a 2.5D curved glass protection. When it comes to its design, the smartphone will have a notch that resembles a waterdrop, a slight chin located at the bottom of its display. Redmi Note 7 will be available in three variants: with 3GB, 4GB and 6GB of RAM, and will be using the 2.2GHz Snapdragon 660 SoC.
Pricing
The price of Redmi Note 7 in China starts from CNY 999 (Rs. 10,500) for the version with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage will cost CNY 1,199 (Rs. 12,400), while the high-end model with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage will be available for CNY 1,399 (Rs. 14,500). The price of Redmi Note 7 Pro is expected to be set at around CNY 1,499 (Rs. 15,900).
