Samsung Galaxy Sport Gets Certified Again – Expected to Launch in February

Samsung will announce its Galaxy S10 line this month, during its Unpacked event, and a new Samsung Galaxy watch is expected to be unveiled alongside the new smartphones. The device is rumored to be called either Samsung Galaxy Sport or Galaxy Watch Active and has been codenamed “Pulse”. The watch has just been noticed going through the certification process in Taiwan.

A new listing proves that we’re not far from seeing a new Samsung watch

A new Taiwanese NCC listing mentions the device, not long after we’ve seen the US and South Korean certification. So now we have even more evidence that a new Galaxy Watch is on its way.

What do we know about the upcoming smartwatch?

Unfortunately, the listing doesn’t really offer us any details about the possible specs and features that the new watch will have. But based on what we’ve heard so far, the device should have the same technology as the Samsung Galaxy Watch: Tizen software, GPS, NFC, as well as other connectivity options.

Samsung’s upcoming watch is believed to come in four different colors: gold, silver, green and black. Also, there have been rumors that the anticipated smartwatch will have more advanced Bixby support than what we’ve seen on the Galaxy Watch last year. The device will probably have 4GB of storage for apps and music.

What else is Samsung planning to unveil

The Unpacked event takes place on the 20th of February in San Francisco, so that’s when we expect to hear an announcement about the Samsung Galaxy Sport. However, the smartwatch might also be unveiled a few days later, at the end of the month, during the MWC 2019.

Other than the new four versions of the new Samsung Galaxy S10 series and the new watch, we also expect to hear about two new Samsung Galaxy Fit fitness trackers not far from now.
