The Android 9 Pie OS was released a couple of months ago, but as we already know, it does take some time until the update reaches all smartphones. That is because each phone manufacturer comes with its own version of it.
At the moment Samsung is working hard to release the Android Pie updates for its smartphones. So far a couple of Galaxy smartphones have already received the update. The stable Android Pie version was released for the Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8 got the Android Pie beta update based on One UI.
The Android Pie update For the A series
Various reports suggest that the Android Pie update is coming for the Galaxy A smartphones. The sources indicate that Samsung is working to release the Android Pie update for the mid-range products. This includes the Galaxy A8 (2018) and the Galaxy A9 (2018).
It appears that the Pie update is one step closer as the Wi-Fi Alliance certification was cleared. Therefore, the update should become available soon. More than that, the Galaxy A8 (2018) and the Galaxy A9 (2018) are not the only two devices that will receive the Android Pie update.
Reports suggest that Samsung is planning to bring the update to other smartphones as well. For example, the Galaxy A7 (2018) should also receive Android Pie in the future. By adding this name on the list, it becomes clear that Samsung wants to make the Pie update available for a large part of its Galaxy A series. The update should become available soon as the Wi-Fi certification was already received. Now we just need to wait.
