Vodafone Italy Android 11 (Android R): List of devices supported or eligible for OS update

Vodafone Italy offers a bunch of Android-powered smartphones that may receive the upcoming Android 11 update. And before we check out the list of eligible phones for the update, you may want to check out a few details regarding the release of Android 11.

Early on in the year, Google had planned to announce Android 11 at its Google I/O event which was scheduled to take place in May. Well, that didn’t go according to plan since the search giant had to cancel the event due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nevertheless, ditching the in-person announcement, Google released the first Android 11 beta for its Pixel phones in June. Following in its steps, OnePlus was the first non-Google OEM to release the Android 11 beta for its flagships — the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro.

Not much later, other OEMs such as Oppo, Xiaomi, and Realme also began releasing the beta update for some of their phones. And by the beginning of July, the beta was already available on 13 devices from 7 vendors.

In fact, Google and OnePlus have both released the third Android 11 beta update for their devices. Thus, the stable update should not be too far off. That being said, it’s now time to take a look at Android 11 eligible devices offered by Vodafone in Italy.

Vodafone Italy Android 11 update: Eligible devices

Predicting which smartphones will receive an upcoming Android update has become pretty easy. This is because most vendors have adopted a certain update cycle for their devices and usually stick to it. Some vendors provide 2-3 major OS updates while others provide only 1 major OS update for certain devices.

Up until a few days ago, Samsung also provided only 2 OS updates for all its phones, including its thousand dollars upward flagships. But at its latest UNPACKED event, the South Korean giant confirmed that it will provide up to 3 major OS updates for certain phones.

Thus, we have taken all this information into account and have curated a list of phones from Vodafone Italy that may get the Android 11 update.
