Apex Legends Season 2 is creeping around, and there are still many things that are unknown about the new gameplay and storyline that the new season would bring. However, the friendly developers over at Respawn have provided us with quite a few details. We will get a new playable character by the name of Wattson, for example, plus map updates, and unique content.
Here’s everything we know so far about Apex Legends Season 2
New character – Wattson
A Static Defender, Wattson is the second character that was announced before the launch. She will be available as a playable character. From what we have gathered, she will be a good support character, being good at area control and team assists by use of electrical gadgets.
Map updated – Kings Canyon
This playable map is expected to receive a significant upgrade with the arrival of season 2 of Apex Legends. Players would have recently noticed some flying monsters that steal your loot on the map.
These monsters are not aggressive at the moment, and they grab boxes and take to the skies. Watch out for these flyers as they might be a teaser for things to come in the next update.
New Battle Pass
The first try at Battle Pass was not received well. With the cosmetic value being a letdown. Not to mention that the legendary skins were not something special.
The devs have reassured players that they have noted the dissatisfaction and will proceed to fix the issue. Hopefully, season 2 will bring us better-looking skins to choose from.
New weapons
Shooting a gun is pretty much an essential operation with Apex Legends. So it comes as no surprise that the devs are considering this aspect as a high priority. Apex Legends Season 2 will feature a new weapon called the L-Star, along with various accessories.
Hammerpoint and Disruptor Rounds serve to enhance damage towards unshielded and shielded enemies. Energy Mags enlarge magazine capacity and save you time by reloading faster. These are available as attachments on the Havoc, Devotion, and Triple Take.
Apex Legends Season 2 is set to roll out on July 2nd.
