The release of the Mate X Pro was a real surprise in 2018. The beautiful laptop offered a well-balanced mix of performance, ports, and portability coupled with an affordable price tag that made it an instant hit among buyers. The success of the device has prompted Huawei to release a sequel, and the company has announced a refreshed MateBook X Pro 2019 model.
Huawei didn’t wish to reinvent the wheel, and it decided to keep the original design and number of ports. The company decided to improve the internals, and the new laptop features a faster processor, a superior discrete graphics card, and the option to go acquire up to one TB of built-in storage.
Those that wish to buy a more budget-oriented device will be happy to learn that Huawei is also working on MateBook 14. The budget laptop maintains the look of its bigger brother, but the Chinese manufacturer made some compromises to make the device affordable, with the screen supporting a lower revolution and the laptop itself is a bit heavier.

A fingerprint scanner inserted within the power button will keep your device safe, while the USB-C and USB-A ports would allow the users to connect both modern and older peripherals. The upgraded Thunderbolt port is now compatible with external GPU solutions, too. The pop-up camera also makes an appearance, and it can be activated by pressing a keyboard function.
Prospective owners can opt between a several Huawei MateBook X Pro 2019 variants as the laptop comes with i5 or i7 8th gen processor, 8 or 16GB RAM, and up to one TB of internal storage space.
