Samsung’s Plans for Galaxy S10 and Its Foldable Phone

According to a report that was published by Bloomberg on Friday, Samsung will try to emulate Apple by creating three diverse versions of its flagship smartphone – Galaxy S10. Moreover, the South Korean company will likely launch the 5G version in the U.S., while it also develops its own foldable phone.

Three versions of Galaxy S10

The report stated that the standard model of Galaxy S10, codenamed “Beyond”, will have the same size as the recent Galaxy S9 – 5.8-inch. It also looks like this phone will have a selfie camera below the screen and triple cameras located on the back. Design-wise, Galaxy S10 will have an OLED screen that is curved on both sides, with its corners nicely rounded and no signs of bezel at the bottom or top. A fingerprint sensor is set to be placed under the display.

Samsung will be a part of the 5G revolution

Two other models, a large “Plus” and a budget version that lacks a fingerprint sensor and the dual-curve edge screen, will be Samsung’s answer to Apple’s iPhone XS Max and a cheaper XR model.

However, what will surely excite fans of the South Korean company is the fact that the 5G technology is likely to become available on Galaxy S10, as Samsung has already initiated talks with Verizon to make it happen.

We should also get a foldable phone

Confirming earlier rumors, the report mentioned that “Winner” is the codename that was given to Samsung’s foldable phone. Apparently, the company cannot decide whether to choose the vertical or horizontal prototypes, although the team of designers leans towards the first option. Another important feature of this upcoming foldable device is the four-inch screen, located on the outside, which will allow us to perform simple tasks without the need to unfold the phone.
