iPhone 13 Release Date Speculations – When Will Apple Introduce The New Device?

Apple hasn’t officially announced the release date of the iPhone 13, but we can take some guesses according to the past and current rumours.

Let’s see what’s up!

The iPhone 12 is available for purchase since more than six months ago, and Apple is moving its focus on its upcoming flagship device, the iPhone 13, or however it would end up being named.

We will likely be met with four versions of the new device – the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Mini, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max, famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggested.

In April, Apple’s first 2021 event took place when we were introduced to a plethora of devices, including a purple iPhone 12, new iPads, colourful iMacs, and the AirTags trackers.

Also, iOS 14.5 was quickly released after the event, and iOS 15 is expected to be introduced at WWDC 2021 (in June).

However, nobody expects Apple to introduce the iPhone 13 so soon. So when should we hope to see it then?

The Cupertino-based tech giant hasn’t provided even the slightest hint regarding the launch date of the device.

Still, we can take a look at the company’s history and make some assumptions.

The pandemic shifted the regular 2020 course. As a result, the September of 2020 was the first September without a new iPhone in eight years. The reason why that happened is simple – production delays.

Kuo believes that 2021 will mark a return to Apple’s usual pace.

A report from March 24 analyzing supply chain information also suggests that a late September iPhone 13 release date is very likely.

Also, an April report from DigiTimes mentioned industry insiders who claimed that the production for the device’s new chips is already ahead of schedule, meaning that the company will probably come back to normal in terms of release times.

Apple typically holds events on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, and iPhone release dates are typically set a week and a half after the company announces the new pieces of tech.

New iPhones are typically released on a Friday, sometime around the third week of September.

Some years ago, CNET made speculation known as the compelling Labor Day hypothesis, which is available here.

The Labor Day rule, according to the 2021 calendar, would put the September Apple event on September 8, with a possible September 17 release date.

Unfortunately, you’ll have to take that information with a grain of salt, as we can’t confirm it before Apple officially announces an event and presents the phones.

However, if you are looking to save up for an upcoming iPhone, your best bet is September!
