Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus Android 10 (One UI 2) update looks imminent as it bags WiFi Alliance certification

The Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus was released back in 2018 and came with Android 8.1 pre-installed. Since then, the device has picked up the update to Android 9 Pie and is now in line to receive the Android 10 update. When it does, it will be it’s 2nd and final major OS update.

Earlier, we reported that the non-plus variant — the Samsung Galaxy J4 — bagged the Android 10 update alongside One UI 2. Therefore, we had expected the company to also release the update for Galaxy J4+ units soon.

And well, it appears that Samsung is working on bringing the Android 10 update for the Galaxy J4+ in the following weeks. This is because we’ve spotted the Galaxy J4+ with the model number of SM-F415F/DS on WiFi Alliance running on Android 10.

As highlighted in the screenshot above, the SM-F415F/DS model that bagged the WiFi Alliance certification is running on Android 10. Thus, Samsung must be preparing to release the update soon. FYI, Samsung has already released the Android 10 update for most of its eligible devices.

Further, it has also begun releasing the One UI 2.1 update for eligible models. And now the company is shifting its focus to the One UI 3.0 update based on Android 11. But like we mentioned earlier, the Galaxy J4 and J4+ won’t get Android 11.

So all that’s left to do now is to wait for Samsung to release the Android 10 update for the Galaxy J4+. You can keep an eye out on our Samsung Android 10 update tracker to be the first to know when the South Korean giant rolls out an Android 10-based update for any device.
