Xiaomi’s flagship for 2020, the Mi 10 is a powerful device with benchmark specs including the Snapdragon 865 SoC. It offers Android 10-based MIUI 11 out-of-the-box and has now received the MIUI 12 update in many regions.
The Chinese, Global, European, and Russian Mi 10 variants have already bagged Xiaomi’s latest custom skin with the Indonesian variant expected to get it this month. Today, Xiaomi officially announced the release of MIUI 12 in India along with the update rollout roadmap.
Now, it seems that the Indian Mi 10 variant is receiving the MIUI 12 update. The information comes from the MIUI 12 Updates Telegram channel where the announcement post indicates that the Mi 10 MIUI 12 update is live in India.
Here’s the Mi 10 update info from the Telegram post:
Mi 10 – Mi Pilot (partial/full release expected by August end subject to change of plan)
However, the announcement post suggests that the update is currently live only for the Mi Pilot program members. This means that it is probably the beta stable version of MIUI 12. The post further states that wider rollout of the update is expected by the end of August.
Xiaomi Mi 10 is the very first device listed in the MIUI 12 update rollout roadmap for Indian devices. Nevertheless, it is unclear whether or not the MIUI 12 beta stable update rollout is actually live in the country as the OEM has not shared any information about the same yet.
