Motorola released the Moto G7 Power back in 2019 with Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. While many variants of the device have bagged the Android 10 update, Verizon subscribers on the Moto G7 Power are yet to receive it.
The Moto G7 Power Android 10 kernel source has been out since March but it appears that the OEM is having a tough time fine tuning the update for the Big Red variant. Back in May, we reported that the FOTA went live in the UK while other regions like India also got it in subsequent months.
Those on the Freedom Mobile variant of the Moto G7 Power also picked up the Android 10 update recently. However, Verizon subscribers have been waiting for the update since a long time now.
Today, Motorola U.S. took to Twitter and stated that the Verizon Moto G7 Power Android 10 update is pending partner approval. As expected, the OEM did not provide any ETA and simply mentioned that the device is expected to receive the update.
Here’s what the tweet read:
Hi. While we never share timing information, the Moto G7 Power is expected to receive the Android 10 updates. Pending partner approval, if that’s required. -Rica
Motorola Support also tweeted something similar about the Moto One Zoom Android 10 update. However, the update is still in testing phase as of now. It seems that Verizon Motorola Moto G7 Power subscribers will have to wait a bit longer considering how things are with the Moto One Zoom.
Nevertheless, we will keep tracking this story and provide an update as and when more information becomes available. Meanwhile, you can check out our Motorola Android 10 update tracker if your device is yet to receive the OS update.
