Vodafone UK is part of the Vodafone Group which is considered to be the world’s second-largest mobile phone company and it offers several Android phones that may get the update to Android 11.
Speaking of which, Google released the first Android 11 beta for its Pixel smartphones with a brief announcement on Reddit. Typically, the search giant announces the release of new Android versions at its Google I/O event. But due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it had to scrap the in-person event this year.
A few days after the first beta announcement went live, OnePlus also released the Android 11 beta update for its flagships — the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. OEMs such as Xiaomi, Realme, and Oppo also followed suit and released their own Android 11 beta updates.
And by the beginning of July, the Android 11 beta update was already available on 13 devices from 7 vendors. Therefore, it appears OEMs have stepped up their game when it comes to providing Android updates.
Just a few years ago, users had to wait for months before an OS update was released on their devices after it was officially available on Nexus/Pixel phones. Nevertheless, let’s now take a look at possible Android 11 eligible phones offered by Vodafone UK.
Vodafone UK Android 11 update: Eligible devices
Over the years, it has become easy to guess which smartphones will be receiving an upcoming OS update and which ones won’t. This is because most Android vendors release 2 major OS updates. There are a few exceptions to this since brands such as OnePlus and Google push 3 OS updates rather than 2.
Thus, taking past trends and existing OEM update cycles into account, we’ve curated a list of smartphones offered by Vodafone UK that may get the upcoming Android 11 update.
