The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 is currently in line to receive the stable Android 10 update. Asus has already released the Beta 1, Beta 2, and Beta 3 updates based on Android 10 for the device. This makes us belive that the stable build should be ready soon.
While the highly-awaited OS update is expected to bring a bunch of new features and improvements, there are still certain issues that have been troubling users who are beta testing Android 10. Earlier, we reported that the ZenFone Max Pro M1 might not support Vodafone VoLTE.
This is because the feature disappeared once users installed the Android 10 Beta 3 build in India. In our report, we mentioned that the ZB601KL model of the device does not support Vodafone LTE and will probably not support it even after the stable Android 10 rollout.
Although, in a follow-up post regarding the issue we highlighted that the Vodafone VoLTE issue was being looked into according to a moderator. But it appears that the first Asus moderator who suggested that the device does not support the function was mistaken.
In a separate response made today, the moderator has claimed that Vodafone VoLTE is indeed supported by the phone when running on Android 10. Here’s a part of the new statement:
Sorry for our mistake. We’ve checked and Vodafone VoLTE is supported on ZenFone Max Pro M1, Android 10.
This information is also backed up with the fact that the ZenFone Max Pro M1 is on the Vodafone’s official list of VoLTE supported devices by Asus. Here are the Asus devices that currently support the function on the Vodafone network in India:
- Zenfone 5Z
- Zenfone Lite L1
- Zenfone Max-M1
- ROG Phone
- Zenfone Max -M2
- Zenfone Max Pro-M2
- Zenfone Max Pro M1
Since it’s now practically confirmed that the device does indeed support VoLTE on Vodafone, affected users can rest assured that they will be able to use the VoLTE feature on their devices once the stable Android 10 update goes live.
