Microsoft Edge Update for Android is Now Available with Faster Web Browsing Speeds

Despite Google’s best efforts to make Chrome the universal browser for Android-powered smartphones, the Android parent is failing. The reason behind this is that even though Chrome is pre-installed on all Android-powered smartphones, most Android fans delete it because Chrome is infamous for using up lots of hardware power and this can be quite problematic for people who don’t have access to a powerful high-end smartphone. Well, this is where Microsoft’s Edge comes in and saves the day.

Microsoft Edge is a powerful mobile browser that has been specially designed to provide users with an enjoyable web surfing experience. However, what really makes Edge stand out from the rest is the fact that it benefits from full-fledged developer support and therefore, the mobile browser is updated on a daily basis.

Microsoft Edge Update

If you are a fan of surfing the web with Edge, then we have some great news to share with you. Microsoft has just released a brand-new update for Edge and it sports the version number. This is a maintenance release which means that instead of introducing new features or visual changes, the update focuses on taking the overall performances of Edge to the next level.

With that being said, we are advising all Edge fans to make sure to keep their smartphones connected to the internet and to download the new update which is being rolled out via Microsoft’s official OTA (over the air) channels.

Software Improvements

As previously mentioned, the new update for Edge focuses on improving the overall performances of Edge. Therefore, no one should be surprised to find out that Microsoft’s developers have made sure to equip the new maintenance update with a wide variety of bug fixes that are taking care of serious issues which sometimes caused the mobile browser to lag.
