The League of Legends Patch 9.16 is right around the corner, and we’re all hyped because this means we’ll get to see the new Origin Hextech and four new champions in action! Nonetheless, there are many other things about to hit the live servers, so let’s check them out in the info and photo below, provided by Riot Mort on Friday.
Teamfight Tactics Patch 9.16
The great news is that with the nerf to Demons – which I personally enjoyed playing in 9.14 – the origin is going to be reworked. So far, we don’t know what the new trait bonus will be, but hopefully, it will make Demons viable once again.
With the Wild trait and Ahri on the buffing side of Patch 9.16, we expect the Wild comps to make a comeback as well – probably a Wild Assassins comp with Ahri, Kata, Zed, and Rengar in the mix. Gunslinger class will probably get better since we get a new one – Jinx, and MF is getting buffed. Nonetheless, the meta will definitely be shaken up by these changes and new content:
It's Friday which means it's tentative patch changes update. Next patch is 9.16 which means a lot of changes, and our first new Trait since launch!
We still have a long way to go, but we're working as hard as possible. Thanks for continuing to play TFT! pic.twitter.com/3qrI5ZosjJ

How Ranked and RNG (Item Drops) Work in TFT – an Update from Riot
In an update in the Dev Corner, Riot Meddler added a few info on the state of Ranked and RNG in TFT:
“We’ve got some work underway looking at ways to improve how Ranked works for TFT. Don’t have details ready to share yet, will do so as soon as we’ve got some specific tactics in mind though.”
As for RNG, here is a short version of the things that will come in the next Patches:
“We think high game to game variation is very important for TFT given adaptability is one of the most important skills TFT tests.
We don’t think solutions like exact same number of items per player every game are the way to go.
We don’t think the current drop system gives sufficient options/alternatives to players who aren’t getting many items either though, so are looking to make some changes. Details, or at least planned direction, to come once we’ve got something solid enough to share.”
We’ll update you with the patch notes for TFT Patch 9.16 on August 13, as soon as Riot releases them on their official website (around 12 PDT). That’s when we should get the exact stats for all the buffs/nerfs and learn what the reworked Demon trait will actually do! So check back Tuesday on our Teamfight Tactics page to get the news first!
