Fossil Gen 5 Range Of Smartwatches Comes with New Improvements

The past couple of days have been big days for the smartwatch market. After Samsung took everyone by surprise when it announced Galaxy Watch Active 2, not even one year after the launch of the first version of the smartwatch, Fossil also revealed its new line of smartwatch models.

Fossil’s Gen 5 range of smartwatches, including the Carlyle HR and Julianna HR combines high-tech and elegance into one attractive package.

The brand revealed the specifications and features of their new devices, and one of the most exciting features is the swim-proof speaker, which allows users to have easy access to Google Assistant and take calls from their watch. Even more, Fossil decided to take the game to the next level, announcing that the Fossil Gen 5 range also makes it possible for iPhone users to take calls from their watch.

The news sparked a good amount of excitement among Apple fans, who are eager to try out Fossil’s new line of smartwatches. It seems that later this fall, Fossil will launch an app that will make it possible for iPhone owners to connect their phone to their watch.

Now, let’s discuss the characteristics of Fossil’s smartwatches. The Fossil Gen 5 range features a 44mm stainless steel case, a 1.3-inch screen, a variety of straps of different materials to choose from, a heart rate monitor, GPS, NFC, a 3 ATM water resistance, and a fast-charging battery. Even more, the devices are powered by the Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset.

Fossil’s new devices also come with a set of pre-installed apps, including one called Cardiogram which allegedly keeps track of your health and is able to discover undiagnosed diabetes, sleep apnea, hypertension, and atrial fibrillation.

The Fossil Gen 5 range is now available for $295.
