We are just taking the first step into Season 10, and Fortnite players are displaying their frustrations towards the devs. Epic Games has changes some significant aspects of the battle royale title. Notable changes are the arrival of a mech and the format of challenges. But so far the changes are not being well received.
The new mech
The most significant change to the game, literally, is a B.R.U.T.E mech equipped with all sorts of firepower. The robot is manned by two players and comes equipped with a shotgun, a shield, and a missile launcher. One more notable thing about the rather giant robot is that its quite agile for its size, being able to move very fast.
The mech has been labeled as overpowered on internet chats with the Fortnite World Champion losing a match to another player that was having a jolly time manning the robot. Fans are really hating on this mech, calling for the devs to vault it forever so it will never see the light of day again.
Old challenges
Leaving the B.R.U.T.E aside for a moment, there are other changes to the game that has irritated fans. In the past, Epic Games had set up weekly challenges that were comprised of different tasks players needed to accomplish.
Players needed to eliminate other players that were minding their own business in specific locations on the map. These challenges were free, but there were also paid challenges for Battle Pass users. All challenges were available until the end of the season.
By completing the challenges, a player would have their tier advanced and also receive in-game items that enhanced utility and cosmetic design.
New challenges in Fortnite Season 10
Season 10 of Fortnite has changed all that as now the challenges are time-based and expire after one week. The objectives of the challenges are also affected by the limited time update. This is because there are plenty of situations where players need to go on a road trip to traverse the entire map to reach their objective.
Players are upset with the new Fortnite Season 10 at the moment, and Epic Games have not responded to the grievances yet. Something has got to give.
