League of Legends 9.16 PBE – “Highly Experimental” Tests on Aurelion Sol and Kayle on PBE

With patch 9.15 going live last night on the League of Legends client, the 9.16 patch has been introduced in PBE, focusing on testing the new Pantheon which we covered separately in this article. We will look at the other two champions that are now being tested in PBE: Aurelion Sol and Kayle

Warning: the following information comes from Rioters’ changelists and they are highly experimental, meaning that they might not go to live in the current form, and there is also no date for release.

Aurelion Sol

Here is the changelist and context on these tests from Riot AzuBK.

Passive – Center of the Universe

  • damage lowered to 16 − 120 (based on level) – from 20 − 130 (based on level)
  • AP ratio changed to 25% AP at all levels – from (+ 18% − 35% (based on level) AP)

Q – Starsurge

  • cooldown changed to 11/10/9/8/7 seconds – from 10 at all ranks
  • movement speed increased to 20% – from 10%
  • [New] “If Aurelion Sol is faster than his Q, the missile will speed up to keep up”

W – Celestial Expansion

  • cooldown changed to 8/6.5/5/3.5/2 seconds – from 6/5.5/5/4.5/4
  • mana cost changed to 70/80/90/100/110 — from 40 + 22/24/26/28/30 per second
  • [New] “Now causes Aurelion Sol’s stars to expand, gaining increased damage and rotating at high, but decaying speed. Upon reactivating or after 3 seconds, the stars retract and grant 40% bonus movement speed, decaying over 1.5s”

E – Comet of Legend

  • [Removed] – passive movement speed.
  • range increased to 5500/6000/6500/7000/7500 units – from 3000/4000/5000/6000/7000.
  • Cooldown increased to 80/70/60/50/40 seconds – from 60/55/50/45/40
  • Speed increased to 600/650/700/750/800 – from 600 at all ranks

Kayle

In his changelist, Riot August explains that the following details are not planned for a release date and that they are “highly experimental.”

Base Stats

  • Armor increased to 29 – from 26
  • Attack speed changed to [.667 + 2% per lvl] — from [.625 + 1.5% per lvl]

Passive – Divine Ascent

  • Level for evolve changed to [7/11/15] – from [6/11/16]
  • Moved ranged form to rank 1 evolve
  • Moved AoE attacks to rank 2 evolve

♦ Innate (Level 1):

  • Movement speed changed to [10% in all directions] – from [15% towards champions]
  • Can now stack vs. towers

♦ Ranged form (level 7):

  • Range lowered to 525 – from 550
  • Attack speed per stack while ranged lowered to 6% – from 10%

♦ Transcended form (level 15):

  • Removed true damage

Q – Radiant Blast

  • [New] Now refunds 50% mana cost if it hit a champion
  • Cast delay lowered to .25 – from .5
  • Cast time changed to .25 – from [AA timer]
  • Missile speed lowered to 1600 – from 2000
  • Range lowered to 900 – from 950
  • AP ratio increased to 60% – from 50%
  • Bonus AD ratio increased to 80% – from 60%
  • Shred lowered to 15% – from 20%
  • Shred duration increased to 4 – from 3
  • “Fixed a bug where Q wouldn’t pierce as far if hit at point blank range”

W – Celestial Blessing

  • Heal AP ratio increased to 35% – from 30%

E – Starfire Spellblade

  • Execute damage changed to [8-14% (+1% per 80 AP)] – from [8-16% (+1% per 100 AP)]

R – Divine Judgement

  • Cooldown lowered to 120/100/80 – from 160/120/80
  • Mana cost lowered to 100/50/0 – from 100
  • AP ratio increased to 90% – from 80%
  • AoE radius increased to 500 – from 475
