The smartphone market suffers from an anomaly. Leaving the metaphors aside, the Pixel smartphone series from Google is simply something else. The Pixel phones from Google are always hugely talked about for some Android devices. One reason could be that they still leak before their launch. However, this is what happens to most smartphones and other gadgets before they are released, leaks go all over the internet. But in case of the Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones, the hype should not be as stirred up.
The Pixel smartphones from Google are always talked about, awaited, appreciated, but when it comes to purchasing them, we can’t see them blip on the radar as some of the most bought smartphones. Here comes the confusion. The Galaxy flagships from Samsung, the iPhones from Apple, and the high-end handsets from Huawei are bought all over the world by millions of people.
Google Pixel 4 And Pixel 4 XL Might Experience Low Sales, Just Like Their Predecessors
Regarding the Google Pixel series, they have never achieved Google’s expectations regarding sales. With each such smartphone that gets released into the series, the situation even gets worse instead of better. That is not a good sign. According to Ruth Porat, the CEO of Google, the Pixel smartphones are bought less and less as the years go by.
When talking about the first-quarter earnings call back in April, the CEO said that it is the fault of the “heavy promotional activity industry-wide given some of the recent pressures in the premium smartphone market.”According to estimates, the Pixel 3 series sold way less than its predecessor, the Pixel 2 series which did not satisfy the company’s expectations either when it came to getting the revenue. Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL would suffer from the exact same problem.
