Microsoft Edge Beta Update Rolls Out Today with Faster Performances

If you enjoy using the mobile version of Microsoft Edge’s browser, then we have some great news to share with you. Since Microsoft is one of the world’s largest software and tech companies, then it should come as no surprise that Edge is updated on a weekly basis with software improvements and bug fixes. With that said, a brand-new software release has just arrived. The new update sports the beta version number and we are advising all Edge fans to download it as soon as possible.

Microsoft Edge Beta Update

As previously noted, Microsoft’s developers are constantly releasing updates for Edge. The reason why Microsoft is doing that is because it wants to take the overall performances of the mobile to the next level while also improving the user experience.

Nonetheless, the new update for Edge is being rolled out via OTA (over the air) channels right now and all Edge fans who are enrolled in the beta program can download it right now. Furthermore, the new update for Edge weighs in at 87.02 MB and it requires a minimum operating system of Android 4.4 KitKat in order to run without any issues.

APK Version

We know that there are many Edge fans who aren’t interested in the beta program because they don’t want to deal with bugs or glitches and this is why we also want to let everyone know that there is an alternative way to download the new update without creating a beta account.

The alternative way is to manually download and install the update in the form of APK (Android Package Kit). In addition, this type of updates can only be installed on Android-powered smartphones that have the “Unknown Sources” option enabled. This option can be found in the Settings panel.
