If you are among the players, who want to take full advantage of Entei Raid Day, continue reading to find out what you need to know about it.
Entei Raid Day – Everything you need to know
The event in Pokemon GO will begin on Saturday, July the 14th at 4 p.m. EDT. Niantic hasn’t announced yet when Entei Raid Day will come to an end, but previous events have usually run for three hours.
Shiny Entei will make its appearance in Pokemon GO this Sunday. Players will have to battle and defeat the Legendary in Raid Battles in order to catch the Entei during the event.
Players won’t know if the Entei they can capture is a Shiny until they defeat it in battle and move to the catch step. Shiny Entei is quite different from its original coloring. The regular Entei is red, yellow and brown, but Shiny Entei switches its brown color for a darker brown and the red shifts to black. Also, a shiny symbol will show up next to Entei’s name.
Best Entei Raid Boss Counters
Entei is an absolute Fire-type Pokemon. It is vulnerable to Water, Rock, and Ground forms of attacks. Moves ineffective on Entei are Bug, Grass, Steel, Ice, and Fairy; so don’t bring a Pokemon that know those forms of attacks.
The Fire-type Pokemon from Johto area will probably have a minimum of one Fire-type move, so bringing Rock and Water-type Pokemon will be in your advantage. The current Raid Bosses holds Tyranitar, so if you don’t have a feasible alternative battle Entei, you’ll want to attempt in catching one before then event begins.
Here are some of the best Pokémon to bring when battling against Entei:
- Rampardos with Smack Down and Rock Slide
- Kyogre with Waterfall and Hydro Pump
- Tyranitar with Smack Down and Stone Edge
- Gyarados with Waterfall and Hydro Pump
- Feraligatr with Waterfall and Hydro Cannon
- Rhyperior with Smack Down and Stone Edge
