There have been many months of us being in the dark regarding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A90. And I have to tell you that we shall remain in the dark, at least officially as no precise information has been provided on the official channels. We do know that the phone will probably come in 4G and 5G versions. Some news about the 5G version came out of the Geekbench database. The phone should feature a Snapdragon 855 SoC, 6GB RAM, and Android Pie.
Previous rumors, that concern the 4G version, say that the phone will come equipped with some amazing specs. The phone should launch with a 6.7-inch display, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and three rear cameras, with the primary camera coming in at 48 MP. Some mysterious feature called Tilt OIS is said to be featured on the phone, but nothing is known about it.

If that is the case and the specs are accurate for the 4G version, it would be safe to say that the 5G version would receive the same setup. Possibly with a few slight upgrades. Lots of sources that have inside information or high caliber educated guesses to say that the A90 will be among the cheapest 5G phones out there.
But it would be safe to assume that it will be cheaper than the $1299 Galaxy S10 5G that is also sold by Samsung. Perhaps anywhere between $600 – $1000. The A90 will definitely not feature the same fancy parts as the S10 to cut costs and make the phone more affordable. It will get a standard flat display with no curves and probably a less fancy optical fingerprint scanner. We will see what’s what in the fall during the phone’s launch. Finding out how much of a “phone of the people” it truly is.
