Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp Outage Is Finally Over

Yesterday was a day of panic attacks for all the fans of Facebook’s social platforms, from all around the world, owned by Mark Zuckerberg. Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp were down for 11 hours last day.

But there was some fun going on, as the users of all of these platforms mocked the three apps, even though the outage affected thousands of people all around the globe, using the competition’s application. Yes, we are talking about Twitter, and thousands of twits were uploaded on the app using some funny hashtags, as it seems the tree platforms have more and more problems.

While the sites weren’t working almost 11 hours yesterday, Facebook released a statement saying they are aware of the problem and they are working on it. Once the issues were solved, and by those we mean that pictures, movie clips, and voice messages were not available to see or download, Facebook announced that the issue was solved, along with apologies for the discomfort provoked for the worldwide users.

Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp Are Now 100% Functional

But how can something like this happen to all of the three biggest websites at once? Even if the same company owns the three apps, we can use every one of them separately, with no apparent connection between them.

The last few break down demonstrate us that even they work as independent platforms, they are all linked together as they work on invisible processes we are not aware of that can break at the same time.

The last outage was in the spring of this year and lasted for an entire day. To this moment, that is the most significant service failure in the history of the internet.  We have no explanation for what happened, so the question is on everyone’s lips: “What was the cause of the outage?”
