After Xiaomi has revealed Redmi 7A in China, with colossal update added to the phone, everyone is wondering if the device is worthy and what its price will be? On the other side, the Redmi 6A was launched last year in India, and the smartphone was a success because it was accessible to the masses. Xiaomi is one of the smartphones companies that offer performing devices at a reasonable price. So if the Redmi 6A was superior to its predecessor with the MediaTek Helio A 22 chipset, now Xiaomi is offering another successor, the Redmi 7A.
What Do We Know about the Redmi 7A?
The Redmi 7A was revealed in China, and its specifications have received a huge upgrade. From what we know, Redmi 7A has a bigger battery, a more potent processor, and is coming with the latest Android 9 Pie. The price hasn’t been announced yet, but for the Indian market, the price will be around or under RS 7.000. The similarities between Redmi 6A and Redmi 7A are at the display department; both have 5.45 inches HD + IPS LCD screen, and the aspect ratio is 18:9. Both have the same rear camera with 13 megapixels, and a front camera with a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The memory comes with 256 GB expandable storage, while the software features are running on the same version of MIUI 10.
On the other hand, the Redmi 7A will receive a new Snapdragon 439 chipset with an octa-core processor, and the GPU is the Andreno 505. Looking at the Redmi 6A, the device comes with the MediaTek Helio A22, a quad-core processor, and a much lower GPU. The battery is more prominent on the Redmi 7A (4.000 mAh), while the Redmi 6A has a 3.000 mAh battery. Also, the 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage for the Redmi 7A are surpassing the Redmi 6A with 2 GB of RAM.
Finally, the Redmi 7A will come with a new design towards Redmi 6A. We don’t know the price, but with these specifications and upgrades, the Redmi 7A will be worth it.
