How To Use A Custom Email Address With Gmail

Custom Email Address With Gmail

Thanks to advancements in technology, you don’t have to stick to using your Gmail address to send mail from the program. You can use a custom email address with Gmail and set up accounts for any address to appear as sent from you.

Steps To Take To Send Mail From a Custom Email Address With Gmail

To do this, you first have to set up an email address to use with your Gmail application as follows:

If there’s no SMTP server, select Send through Gmail and click Next Step>Send Verification.

Once done, close Gmail-Add another email address window and check your email client for new emails. Follow the Gmail Confirmation – Send Mail as… verification link message and close the Confirmation Success! window.

Finally, verify the new email address from Accounts in Gmail settings, or click make default so that it is your default custom email address with Gmail.

You can now send mail from any Gmail address or account by selecting the desired email from the From: menu as you compose a new email in Gmail.

This address is also available on iOS if you want to use it.

If you send mail using different addresses from the main Gmail address via Gmail servers, Gmail will add it in the Sender: header. This ensures it complies with the sender authentication scheme like SPF.
