Rumors about Google’s new smartphone models, the Pixel 3 Lite line, known as Google Pixel 3a XL and Pixel 3a, has been going around the internet for several months now. A lot of the information got leaked, so we ended up knowing almost every single detail about the devices, from design to prices to specifications.
Surprisingly, only a few days before the official launch of the new models, a new leak has emerged. This time, the leak refers to the name of the cheaper Pixel line.

The budget-friendly models will be unveiled by Google next week. Google confirmed the launch of new products at their I/O 2019 event, where they released their new Pixel 3 TV created in collaboration with Marvel, just before the premiere of Avengers: Endgame.
Max J. from AllAboutSamsung, whose leaks proved to be accurate in the past, posted the picture below on Twitter. The image gives us a look at the front side of Google’s Pixel 3a XL packaging.

The leak does nothing but confirms details we already knew. The cheaper Pixel 3 phones will be named Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. Even more, we can observe the back of the model in the picture, which we have already seen in another leak from earlier this week.
The design is not a surprise either. It features touches that have been used before in Pixel devices, such as colored powered buttons, single rear camera, rear fingerprint sensor. The back of the phone’s case is almost certainly made out of plastic, as Google accustomed us with their Pixel models.
The official announcement of the Pixel 3a series will be made next week. Only then we will be able to confirm the abundance of leaks we encountered so far. Also, we are going to find out the official release date of the phone.
