Nvidia Releases GeForce 430.53 Hotfix To Tackle The Bugs Of The Previous Version

Windows 10 is Microsoft’s most recent series of computer operating systems. It was first released in 2015 and, ever since then, has gotten several updates. Unlike previous versions, Windows 10 updates are downloaded and installed automatically.

Next month, on May 10, 2019, Windows 10 will receive yet another update. To prepare for the event, Nvidia has made a few new releases: Game Ready WHQL-certified 430.39 drivers, support for GTX 1650, and the notebook variant of GTX 1660Ti.

The last Nvidia release was meant to be the best version available to many users but, unfortunately, it presented a big issue. According to users reports, a major bug was causing spiked in CPU usage.

What issues the new Nvidia GeForce 450.53 drive fixes?

The most recent Nvidia release, GeForce 430.53 hotfix beta drivers, fixes that bug, along with some others. Here are all of the issues the update fixes:

  • When playing videos on a secondary monitor, desktop flickered
  • BeamNG: Launching games caused crashed the application
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Launching in SLI mode caused the game to freeze
  • 3DMark Time Spy: Launching benchmark caused flickering
  • Fixes higher CPU usage by NVDisplay.Container.exe introduced in 430.39 driver

However, it should be taken into consideration that the release is not WHQL, so not all users are recommended to utilize it. According to Nvidia, the development process was drastically shortened, in order to fix issues quickly and stop users’ complaints. It is recommended that you wait for the next WHQL certified version of the driver if you are willing to put up with the bugs just a little longer.

As it has been found, an update to the telemetry collection was the one causing the spikes in CPU usage, which is quite strange. Users discovered that, without installing the hotfix, the problems they encountered with the WHQL- certified 430.39 version were repaired when they deleted certain files.
