Details About The Redmi Note 7 MIUI Update

Redmi is bringing the MIUI update to users via the OTA route. The update will reportedly take up 1.66 GB of space, which is quite a lot, considering it does not alter the Android version. The update will come to Redmi Note 7 users gradually, so some may receive it sooner than others. If you haven’t received the update for your device yet, don’t worry! You will get it soon.

The MIUI update new features include:

  • Ability to restrict opening notifications
  • Floating windows for incoming calls
  • New AI camera modes
  • Fixed camera force closing issue
  • Fixed issues reported by users

Installing The Update

For those that can’t wait for the update to come to their Redmi Note 7 devices, the MIUI update can be sideloaded here. In this case, you will have to perform a backup of your data before attempting to install it. Otherwise, you risk losing it.

If you are going to wait to receive an update notification on your smartphone, you can install it right away, without needing to perform any backup.
