Many phone makers are looking into new ways to innovate and create different designs. We’ve seen the Android phones getting all-screen designs, so what is Apple planning for the iPhone 11? Will it take the iPhone X design or bring something new this year? Thankfully, the Apple insider, and the KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has some information about the future iPhone.
New Design for the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max
According to Kuo, the iPhone 11 might come with improvements to the Face ID, waterproofing, and the same wireless power-sharing feature that we have on the Samsung’s Galaxy S10 line. In terms of the back, we might also see a frosted glass back. The iPhone 11 and 11 Max will benefit greatly from the iOS 13 if it will come with significant features.
Apart from what we know from Kuo, the factory CAD files for the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max have been leaked, showing some new configurations that are very different from what we have seen on the iPhone XS and XR.
The iPhone 11 appears to have a rear camera that is centered on the back of the phone, and the iPhone 11 Max will come with a triple-lens camera on the rear, in the top-left corner. This leak is further proof that the previous leaks (which soon after got turned into renders) were not fakes.
The iPhone’s triple-lens camera array should be housed in the rounded square. There are two lenses on the far left almost in the same place as we have now on the current iPhone XS Max, but you can see a third lens added in the right with a LED flash right over it.
This leak shows a weird configuration, but it is legitimate. The image above was posted on Weibo, a Chinese platform. It shows the schematics for the iPhone 11 Max and the welding pattern, and it is said that the photo was taken in the Foxconn factory where Apple will have the next-gen iPhones manufactured. At a closer look, BGR’s Zach Epstein noted that you could see “a series of holes that look exactly like the new iPhone 11 Max camera array from the earlier leak.”
Until the new iPhone 11 series gets announced in September, we should see a lot more leaks that will help us figure out more about the future iPhones.
