Unc0ver Jailbreak for iOS 12 – iOS 12.1 Adds “Partial” Support for A12 and A12X Devices

Even though Apple has been doing all in its power in order to make it impossible for developers to jailbreak its latest version of iOS, the Unc0ver team did the impossible anyways. The Unc0ver jailbreak tool works on iOS 12 – iOS 12.1 and it’s available for all iPhone and iPad fans who enjoy using jailbreaking their devices. Nonetheless, the reason why we are talking about the Unc0ver jailbreak tool today is because it will now support A12 and A12X powered devices.

Unc0ver Jailbreak Tool Adds Support for A12 and A12X

The only downside to the Unc0ver jailbreak tool is that it can only be installed on devices that run on A8X through A11 processors which includes the following devices: iPhone 6S, iPhone 7, iPhone SE, Phone 8, iPhone X, iPad Air and the 6th generation of iPad. Therefore, Apple’s latest iPhone XS, XS Max, and iPhone XR are not compatible with the Unc0ver jailbreak tool for iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.

Luckily, this isn’t a problem anymore since the developer known as “pwn20wnd” has released the Unc0ver v3.0.0 public beta 44 with partial support for A12 and A12X powered devices. However, we do need to mention that the new tool “partially” supports the new processors.

Unc0ver v3.0.0 Public Beta 44

Since we are talking about the new Unc0ver v3.0.0 Public Beta 44, we should also note that it introduces a bunch of other changes alongside the partial support for A12 and A12X devices. Although, the jailbreak tool is in the form of beta which means that it still has its fair share of bugs and problems. However, they are going to be fixed, and a stable version will be eventually released.

Lastly, the developer in charge of Unc0ver v3.0.0 Public Beta 44 tool has also released beta 45 for public testing and it introduces a fix for the “voucher_swap” exploit.
