Apple is expected to launch two new iPad tablets at the event which will take place on March 25th at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park, in Cupertino, California. The first iPad is supposed to be a successor for the iPad 6, while the second one will be an iPad Mini 4 upgrade, the so-called iPad Mini 5.
iPad Mini 5 case leaked, showing some design changes
When it comes to the iPad Mini 5, we have some new details to share with you. It appears that a leaked case for the upcoming iPad Mini 5 offers some details about how the successor of iPad Mini 4 looks. The leak seems to confirm all the rumors we heard about the design of the iPad Mini 5 so far.
From the case leak, we can tell that the tablet will have its microphone positioned in a different location in comparison with iPad Mini 4. We can also see that the iPad Mini 5 will come with lighting ports, dual speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
That means that there won’t be any significant changes if we compare it to the design of the iPad Mini 4, although there will be some differences. The 7.9-inch display will remain the same, and the bezels won’t suffer any changes either. Since it appears that the home button will continue to be there, that means that the iPad Mini 5 will use Touch ID instead of the Face ID system.
iPad Mini 5 would come with an updated processor
Reports also suggest that the iPad Mini 5 will upgrade the A8 processor to a newer version, although there are no more details available on this topic.
The iPad Mini 4 was, and it continues to be, an excellent solution for those who want an Apple tablet but are not willing to carry a full-fledged tablet with them. Users who need something more substantial than a smartphone, but smaller than an iPad Pro tablet, can rely on Apple’s iPad Mini 5 when it comes out.
