Google Play Store Has Received a New Update

Everyone who has ever used an Android powered smartphone knows that the Google Play Store is where they need to go whenever they want to download a new app or game. The Google Play Store is one of the most famous and important features that the Android operating system has to offer and therefore, it shouldn’t come as shock to find out that Google is releasing new updates for the feature every week.

Google is renowned throughout the world for always optimizing and enhancing its software and the Google Play Store isn’t an exception to that rule. Even though the Google Play Store is more of a service than an app, the Android parent is still improving its performances every other week via APK updates. In fact, a new APK update for the Google Play Store was released yesterday.

Google Play Store 14.0.28 Update

Android fans who want to make sure that the Google Play Store is running at its full potential should make sure to download the new 14.0.28 APK that was released yesterday. Since this is an APK update that we are talking about, Android users are first required to head over to their Settings panel and then enable the “Unknown Sources” option which can be found in the Privacy options.

The reason why the “Unknown Sources” option needs to be enabled is because APK updates are manually downloaded from Google’s APK website and they don’t get released via OTA (over the air) channels as regular updates do.

What’s New?

In case some of you might be wondering if downloading this update is worth your time, then you should know that the new 14.0.28 APK is a high priority download for all Android users. The update might not introduce any new features but it makes up for that with software tweaks and bug fixes.
