HTC Timetable for Android 9.0 Pie Update

Google announced that the first beta preview of its new Android Q operating system update is going to release via Project Treble during the upcoming days. However, Google is in no rush because there are still many tech manufacturers who have yet to roll out Android 9.0 Pie to their latest smartphones. HTC is the perfect example of this because this tech giant promised to release Android 9.0 Pie to its latest smartphone back in August 2018 and only H11 Life has received the update.

HTC Announces Update Plan

HTC is feeling the pressure now that Google is getting ready to release the first beta preview of Android Q and it announced that U11, U11+ and U12+ are going to receive the highly anticipated Android 9.0 Pie operating system update in Q2 2019. The newer smartphones are going to be first in line to receive the update and thus, the update is first going to be rolled out to U12+, then to U11+ and lastly to U11.

HTC U12+ is the company’s current flagship smartphone and therefore, it represents the best that HTC has to offer. With that said, no one should be surprised by the fact that HTC U12+ is the first in line to receive Google’s Android 9.0 Pie which introduces a plethora of features and software optimization tweaks. The smartphone is equipped with a large 6.0-inches panel that uses Super LCD6 technology. The display features a pixel resolution of 1140 x 2880p and a pixel density of 537ppi. Moreover, the display has been coated in Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. HTC U12+ is fueled by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 845 CPU which is paired to 6GB of RAM.
