Galaxy S9 users were the first Samsung fans who got the chance to test out Android 9.0 Pie and to their disappointment, they found out right from the start that the new operating system doesn’t offer full support for Samsung’s Good Lock. Fortunately, Samsung noticed the feedback that it was receiving and it decided to introduce support for Good Lock in Android 9.0 Pie. The new update was released today (March 8th).
Android 9.0 Pie Now Supports Good Lock
Good Lock is an app that is exclusive to Samsung’s smartphones. This app gives Samsung fans access to a plethora of customization options that make it possible for them to truly personalize their smartphone’s UI (user interface) and much more. The great thing about Good Lock is the fact that it doesn’t need any root or ADB knowledge despite being able to change the lock screen, the task change window and the quick settings panel among others.
New Features
Samsung revealed that the latest Android 9.0 Pie doesn’t only introduce support for Good Lock, but it also comes with three new features that Samsung fans will love. These features are new styles for the recent apps screen, new One UI customization styles, and the multi-window functionality.
Introducing “Best Shot”
Another interesting that is being introduced in the new operating system update from Samsung is the feature called Best Shot. This feature is going to be exclusive to Galaxy S10 and rumor has it that the feature will let users change the design and layout of the camera app.
OTA Release
Nonetheless, the major update is being rolled out OTA (over the air). Therefore, we advise all Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S10 users to keep their eyes peeled at the notification panel because the update should arrive any minute now.
