Jailbreak fans have been waiting for a stable iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 tool to arrive for a couple of months now and the wait is finally over! The folks who are in charge of the Unc0ver jailbreak tool have released the tool for public use. The tool sports the Unc0ver 3.0.0 version number and it can jailbreak iPhones or iPads which are running on iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2. The catch here is that the tool is currently limited to devices which are powered by A8X-A11 such as iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 7. Support for A12 powered devices is going to be introduced in an upcoming update.
Unc0ver iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 Jailbreak Tool
The developers who created the Unc0ver jailbreak tool for iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 have stated in the past that the tool can be used on Apple’s latest devices which are powered by the A12 processor. Unfortunately, the version of the tool which has now been released only works on devices that use A8X through A11 processors. On the bright side of things, this does show us that iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 is not unbreakable.
Cydia and Substrate
The great thing about the new Unc0ver iOS jailbreak tool is the fact that it ships with Cydia and Substrate. This means that the jailbreak tool is stable and that it makes it possible for iOS fans to download apps and services that are not listed on the App Store.
Beta Update
We do have to mention that the Unc0ver iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 jailbreak tool is still in the beta phase. Therefore, the only iOS fans who should try and install the new jailbreak are those who are experienced with this kind of stuff and don’t mind having to deal with bugs or similar issues.
