Clash of Clans is an addictive game, but did you ever imagine that you could win 1 million dollars by playing it? The Clash of Clans World Championship for this year has been announced, and the prize for it is fabulous.
Community manager Darian already announced the tournament, as well as the sum of money that can be won: “Get ready, six months of action-packed Clash of Clans competition awaits! Featuring a brand new 5v5 format and $1,000,000 US in prize money. See new champions rise and titans fall in the all new Clash of Clans World Championship!”
More than that, it appears that ESL will be the one hosting the tournament. There was also an official announcement on the ESL Twitter account:

Entering the tournament
There are two ways to get into this tournament. Either an in-game pre-qualifier or an ESL pre-qualifier. For the first one you need to compete in the Champions I League in the Clan War Leagues during the March through August League seasons.
The top 4 Clans from Champions I will then be invited to battle in the 5v5 Offline Qualifier in Katowice, Poland. Five members need to be designated and they need to be able to go to Poland. ESL will handle flights and accommodations, but participants must be over 18 years old.
For the ESL play pre-qualifier you need to register first here. There will be pre-qualifiers taking place from the 12th through 24th of each month between March and August. The top four winning teams will got to Katowice, Poland Offline Qualifier.
