The processor is the core of any smartphone, and the more powerful it is, the more efficient the hone becomes. Qualcomm is one of the biggest chip manufacturers and it recently released its latest chipset: The Snapdragon 712.
The chips comes with upgrades for several important functions. Let’s take a closer look at it and see how this new chipset can revolutionize the experience delivered by our smartphones.
Stronger than ever
There are numerous improvements that can be observed. For example, the chipset comes with a 10-nm FinFET construction with Kyro 360 and it also has a 616 Adreno GPU. In addition to that, the 712 core runs on at 2.3 GHz speed. This is 10% faster than the speed of the previous 710 processor, which had a speed of 2.2 GHz. The speed increase might not seem major, but you will definitely feel the difference when you use a device powered by it.
If you are a games lover, you should notice the improvements right away. The new chipset will improve the performance. It appears that Qualcomm is really set on pleasing gamers, as it was already revealed that the Snapdragon 712 should offer a gaming experience that is “console-level”.
The chipset also has enhanced Bluetooth audio. The Snapdragon 712 uses the Broadcast Audio, Qualcomm Aqstic Audio, and TrueWireless Stereo Plus technologies. We should also add that the chip supports 32 MP single camera or 20 MP dual cameras. Video recording is supported in 4K at 80fps and full HD recording is supported at 120 fps.
The chip includes Spectra 250 Image Signal Processor. It is also very important that the chipset comes with QuickCharge 4.0+ that should allow users to charge their devices faster, even when it comes to budget phones.
