Xiaomi hosted a special launch event for Redmi Note 7 earlier this week and the Chinese based tech giant used this event as an opportunity to announce that a bigger and more powerful Redmi Note 7 Pro is going to arrive soon. However, this was to be expected since Redmi Note 7 Pro is one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2019 and the folks at Xiaomi know that too well.
Xiaomi CEO Announces Redmi Note 7 Pro Specs
Lu Weibing is the CEO of Xiaomi and he decided to take to social media in order to interact with the fans. The CEO asked fans what type of hardware specs they would like to see featured on Redmi Note 7 Pro and one of the fans said that he would wish for Redmi Note 7 Pro to ship in 3GB RAM/32GB ROM and 6GB RAM/128GB ROM variants.
The CEO focused on this comment and told the fan that he might not get what he wishes and that something even better is coming. Lu Weibing said that Redmi Note 7 Pro will probably be available with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage space as a standard model. Therefore, the more expensive version of the smartphone is going to feature even more RAM.
Expected Release Date and Price
Even though Xiaomi’s CEO is openly talking about Redmi Note 7 Pro, there is no official release date to the smartphone. Xiaomi has recently launched Redmi Note 7 and it wouldn’t make sense to launch Redmi Note 7 Pro yet because this would only start a competition between the two high-end smartphones.
Moving on to the price, Redmi Note 7 Pro is going to be equipped with premium hardware specs, but despite this, Redmi Note 7 Pro will still be a mid-range smartphone. Rumor has it that Redmi Note 7 Pro is looking to price the new smartphone at around $250.
