It is already expected that a new iOS version will be released in 2019.
With each major update Apple adds new and interesting features that improve the life of iDevice owners. We created a reasonable list of additions that would make the famous operating system even better. You can check it out below.
A refreshed home screen
A reliable source claims that the next version of iOS is currently in development under the codename Yukon. The same source claims that the update will bring a refreshed home screen that will aim to improve productivity.
Dark Mode
Dark mode is one of the greatest features that were introduced on electronic devices. macOS Mojave features support for dark mode. A high numbers of apps are also starting to provide dark mode options. Adding the mode to iOS would be a great move, especially since users have demanded the feature for a long time.
Improving Siri
Siri is a great assistant that is able to perform a variety of useful tasks. Recent updates allow power users to use the Shortcuts app in order to create complex routines that can be triggered with key phrases. The only problem is that Siri is still overtaken by Google Voice and Alexa when it comes to offering pertinent answers to some general questions.
Taking shots with a better camera
More megapixels and a new aperture can improve the quality of a picture. But the software side is also important and in some cases it can offer a superior experience even if the hardware is modest. Boosting of the images captured by using Portrait mode should be the primary target.
Unleashing the full potential of the iPad
Apple has constantly pushed the iPad as a reliable replacement for classic PCs. The issue here is that the device itself is quite limited. You can’t use the Files app in order to explore external storage. Only one instance of an app can run at any given time. Safari seems limited in comparison to the macOS equivalent. If these limitations are removed the device could become very competitive.
Let’s hope that at least some of these ideas will make an appearance when the new OS is launched.
