Blizzard Announces The Arena World Championship and Mythic Dungeon Competitions for 2019

Blizzard has great plans for Esports this year, announcing that we’ll see the return of the Arena World Championship and Mythic Dungeon Competitions.

The rewards will be a lot bigger, and the Mythic Dungeon Invitational will become this year Mythic Dungeon Competitions which will be open for everyone.

The Arena World Championship – PVP

The first kind of competition is for those that love the PVP part of the game.

The Arena World Championship comes with a plan scheduled for different seasons and among different regions – the entire list is shown below.

The North American and European regions will have two seasons and six cups, each cup for every season comes with a $10,000 prize pool. The biggest prize pool will be $100,000 which will be won by the top four players that gather the most points and battle for it.

The Asia-Pacific, China, and Latin America regions will host cups which at the end of the year, the winners and players with the most gathered points will face each other in the finals at the World Championship.

Mythic Dungeon Competitions – PVE

If you’re not into PVP, the Mythic Dungeon International will let you gather a team of five players and show what you’re made of in the Proving Grounds in PVE combat. To unlock the Tournament Realm, you must complete five level 14 (the level might change) Mythic dungeons in the period: February 26 – March 12. In that mode, you can max-level a character, gather the gear and choose talents and complete in time trials. You must be in the best eight groups in the region (split into East or West) and try not to get knocked out in a double-bracket elimination.

The ultimate winner will get a $100,000 in the end of season LAN.

Blizzard will soon release new in-game toys to fund the two events, and we should expect to see them revealed these weeks.
