Older platforms will no longer receive Minecraft support. The list includes the Xbox 360, the Wii U and PlayStation 3. It appears that it is finally time for them to receive their latest updates. The Nintendo 3DS recently received its last update, which is a huge one. Here is how the update was announced:
“Do you play Minecraft on New Nintendo 3DS or New Nintendo 2DS? We do too! We really should hang out more. Not tonight though, as you’ll probably be too busy heading to the 3DS eShop so you can download a massive new update! This is our final update for the New Nintendo 3DS version and also one of our largest. It’s packed with mansions and maps! Vindicators and Vexes! Bone blocks and bug fixes! Concrete and, er, concrete powder! Llamas and… love? No. Just llamas. But we love llamas so it’s all good.”
What does the update bring?
As we already mentioned before, this is a huge update, and it might be the biggest update released for this platform. There are many new features introduced, from melting gold nuggets and iron to new explorer maps. It is also worth mentioning that there are many new items as well. Here are some of them:
- Bone block
- Concrete
- Concrete Powder
- Frosted Ice
- Glazed Terracotta
- Iron & Gold Nuggets
- Magma block
- Nether wart block
- Red nether brick
- Shulker Box
- Spawn Eggs (Llama, Vindicator, Evoker, Vex)
- Totem of Undying
The update also comes with brand new entities, such as Vexes, Vindicators, Evokers, Llamas and Cartographer villages. Mending Enchantments and the Frost Walker are also available with the new update. Players will also get natural magma block generation and underground fossils.
While it is sad to say goodbye, this update will definitely make things easier for 3DS players.
