By now everyone is probably familiar with the announcement date of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 series, which is 20th of February. The much-awaited smartphones will be announced at the Unpacked event that will take place in San Francisco. We knew until now that we will definitely see the standard Samsung Galaxy S10 during the event, but what we didn’t really know for sure was whether a 5G model of the series will be presented as well.
Samsung has chosen a name for its upcoming 5G smartphone
Based on a new report from ET News, the South Korean company seems to have decided to use the letter “X” for the name of the 5G variant of the Galaxy S10 series. Therefore, Samsung’s first 5G model will be called “Galaxy S10 X”.
What will be the specifications of Samsung Galaxy S10 X?
When it comes to the specs, Galaxy S10 X is expected to have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display and an in-display fingerprint reader. The device will probably have six cameras: two cameras in the front and four cameras in the back. Also, the smartphone is expected to have 10GB of RAM, 1TB storage, as well as a 5000mAh battery.
Another feature that we might see in Samsung Galaxy S10 X is something called “Life Pattern”, which will use artificial intelligence in order to try to automate some functions of the phone.
All of this sounds very exciting and we cannot wait to hear more about the upcoming 5G Samsung phone. When it comes to the release dates of the Samsung Galaxy S10 series, since they will be announced on 20th of February, we expect for the standard Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ to become available in stores starting with 8th of March. The 5G Samsung Galaxy S10 X is believed to arrive in Korea on 29th of March.
