Samsung Galaxy J7 Max Will Get the Android 8.1 Oreo Update

Based on recent reports, Samsung has released the Android 8.1 Oreo update to its Samsung Galaxy J7 Max. The new update version is G615FXXU2BRL3 and it brings several improvements. Even though Android Pie is already out, it’s still good news to see that the device is getting an update.

Android Oreo 8.1 update is coming to Galaxy J7 Max

Samsung Galaxy J7 Max was launched in 2017, when it came with Android 7.0 out of the box. What users need to know is that the Android 8.1 Oreo update is being rolled out in batches, so a little bit of patience is needed. If you want to check if your device is eligible for the update, you can access the “Settings” menu, then “Software update” and lastly “Download update manually”.

Some details about Galaxy J7 Max

Samsung Galaxy J7 Max has a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It comes with a 3,300mAh battery and a 16nm Mediatek MT6757 Helio P20 octa-core chipset. When it comes to its cameras, the device has a 13MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera.

What else is new from Samsung

As we all know by now, Samsung is expected to release its upcoming Galaxy S10 series on 20th of February, at the Unpacked event that this time takes place in San Francisco. According to the rumors, the South Korean company is expected to launch five different models of the Galaxy S10 this year. Two of them would be 5G-powered and the other three would have 4G. The devices will come equipped with a Snapdragon 855 chipset and a triple rear camera setup.

It is also believed that the Galaxy S10 series will get an IP68 certification for resistance to water and dust, and that it will run the newest operating system, Android Pie with One UI skin on top.
