Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Could Get a Different Name: Samsung Galaxy S10 E

According to some recent leaks, the most affordable model of the Galaxy S10 series might be called Samsung Galaxy S10 E instead of Galaxy S10 Lite. Let’s take a look at what’s new about the South Korean company’s upcoming smartphone.

The entry-level Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite might get a different name

It seems that this news comes from a case maker from the UK, who got this information from a China-based supplier. The case maker suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite will be known under a different name: Galaxy S10 E. He also said that the smartphone will not come with an in-display fingerprint, as it was indicated before by various rumors. According to certain rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S10 E could feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, the same as the Galaxy A7.

What to expect from Samsung Galaxy S10 E?

Based on several reports, upcoming Galaxy S10 E will have a 5.8-inch flat AMOLED display, which will carry support for an 18.5:9 aspect ratio and a full HD resolution. When it comes to its processor, the phone is expected to come equipped with a Snapdragon 855 chipset, together with 4GB or 6GB of RAM. The smartphone might be fueled by a 3,100mAh battery and it is rumored to have a single front-facing camera and dual rear cameras.

As far as the memory and internal storage are concerned, Samsung Galaxy S10 E is expected to be available in more variants: 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage, 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage, and 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The device will most probably come preloaded with the latest operating system, Android 9 Pie and with Samsung’s new One UI.

The other two models of the S10 series, Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+ are expected to feature a 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch display, respectively. Both of them will come with an in-display fingerprint reader. We expect all three models to be launched on 20th of February, at the Mobile World Congress event.
